Hello
I am new to the whole mortgage loan arena and would like some advice on building client base and closing deals. The feedback is very much appreciated. |

Welcome to the Mortgage Forum, newmoney.
I'm sure you will have several people chime in with some advice shorty.
Feel free to ask other questions too.
Thanks,

Best advice is to start by reading the mortgage marketing section. There is some good information there.
The best thing you can do to start off with is to understand what you're selling. If you don't know, you're very likely going to screw something up. For yourself, your consumer, or your company. Take your time, review everything, and if you don't know the answer, then let the person know you don't know the answer!! I have not once had a person have issue with the fact that I didn't know an answer off the top of my head. Just means that you need to check it out.
You should also go out and visit banks and realtors. Find out what works for you and what kind of people are best for you to sell to. That's the best place to start, learn about what you can do and what your strengths are, and build on those. |

| I've written a few articles on my blog about working with Realtors and how to get started setting appointments. Take a look at the training center. |
