Different types of credit ?

I remember something about that lenders want you to have three open accounts that you are paying on. Is this true and if so I Only had two and now 1. The credit card I had I paid it off and they went out of business and closed my account.The only payment I have is my truck payment and that is about to be paid off in a few months .

Overall it depends. When I got my loan a year ago I only had two, but I'd had other active accounts recently.

It depends mostly on the loan you're applying for and who you're applying with as to what they're going to require on the tradelines.
