A friend of mine has offered me an opportunity to further assist him in the progression of his newest firm. However having only sales experience in time-share acquisitions makes the transition from career paths a bit discouraging.
As well as classes, could anybody recommend, perhaps some literature that may benefit my fledgling position among the many seasoned veterans who are already established within this particular industry.
I welcome all advice given.
Thank You

I learned a great deal through LoanToolbox.com when I started about 18 months ago. I had a boss that pretty much handed me a computer and said 'go get em tiger'. It's a bit pricey, but it helps you really understand how the industry works. Also reading forums like this and some other mortgage based boards can really help you learn as you go.
2 things to keep in mind: Do what's right for the borrower and get as much information as possible about the industry. If you do both of those and can communicate well with people, you'll find that you get referrals rather quickly. |

| Remember this: There are no stupid questions in this business! If you don't know ask. Just tool around the net and see who has different forums to read. A friend of mine is in CA, and he has a site called lendinglaw.com. He posts federal alerts on it, and different news you might poke around and read. |
