Hello,
I know and respect this board's policy regarding links and even more - I completely agree with that being a web developer myself. However I came here to ask for advice and some opinions regarding a project (www.MortgageDeals.ie) that we have invested in recently. Opinions of brokers as well as consumers from USA are very important since we are thinking of expanding our service on US market. Simply put - we have created a very informative platform that should attract mortgage seekers, help them getting information and let them find a proper mortgage broker. Questions I'm asking are:
a) What do you think of the layout and look&feel?
b) Is credibility sufficient for you to post an application through website in this shape and form?
c) Brokers: if you were about to buy leads generated by website like this one what would be your expected shape of leads and price for them?
Thank you in advance for your feedback,
T. Martins

The web site is not bad. As far as what I would pay for leads...
It depends upon many factors. The type of loan. Whether they are exclusive or not, etc etc I have never paid more than $10 or $20 for a lead. Now, I do not have to because my web site generates all of my leads for me. |

The average cost of sales leads generation for the mortgage industry is anywhere between $60 and $150 if you use Google Adwords. Other channels (TV, News Adverts, Radio etc) cost even more.
You say that you don't pay for sales leads. I would ask who paid for your website development and who pays for (time or otherwise) optimising and promotion your website/business on-line? |

I paid for my web site. I created the layout and wrote all of the content. I have a CMS and manage all of the content and changes myself.
I get leads for states that I cannot use and sell those. At some point soon, I will add Google Ads to the site.
The web site generated enough business in just two months to offset the creation costs.
Most of all, I have learned a lot during this process about designing web sites, SEO, etc etc It will help me a lot with future e-marketing projects. |

Our mortgage company has been looking into buying mortgage leads, but I wanted to get some info first- has anyone here used leads before, if so, were you impressed? was the cost effective? please let me know as we are interested in this opportunity.
And please only reply if you have direct knowledge with using a lead source.
thanks |
