| Yes, that is a scary but true fact. Here in South Africa the situation is the same. I've been told that in the area I live, which is a medium to high income area, 1 in 4 are at least 1-3 months behind on their home loan. |

| What exactly is an adverse mortgage? I've never heard that term before, but since I have some old charge offs and other negative accounts on my credit report (from several years ago) it sounds like something that I might need to look into. |

| I agree it sound like something i may need my husband has 2 repos on his credit and I have some medical but everything on mine is mainly from school loans. We had considered bankruptcy after he got laid off a few years ago but want that to be a last resort. |

I heard that it is really hard to file bankruptcy now too.
As far as I can tell it is "Also referred to as Bad or poor credit mortgages. For those with a poor credit history, CCJ's, defaults on loan payments etc."
I also saw one article that recommended meeting with Adverse loan reps in person and keeping close tabs on them because some of them are sleazy... that article wasn't from any reputable location though so I don't know how much stock you should actually put in it. |
