I'm closing in 4 days. Lender selected by broker is "Homecomings Financial". I'm reading hundreds of complaints about them on the internet. Anyone have knowledge about this company being a bad lender?

homecomings is great.....

of course your going to find hundreds of complaints on the internet about them because typically the only people to go and waste time to put a statement online are the people who want to compalin. happy borrowers just go on with they're business and typically won't waste they're time to fill out a complaint on some blog!

you will find hundreds of complaints about everyone lender...... or every business as a matter of fact.... like best buy, circuit city, sears, mcdonalds....... but really these are all great companys....... just like homecomings financial :>

Thanks for the reply jaredevenson but I disagree that Homecomings "is great". I DO NOT find anywheres near the hundreds of complaints for other reputable lenders as I did for Homecomings Financial. All have a slight few, but Homecomings nears a thousand on various sites. I received a draft GFE closing pkg from them. After review (too many things to mention here) I decided to abort the deal with them. They are not great ! (Do you work for them ?)

i am a abroker, and i actually DO not ever use them. i have heard lots of great things from other brokers about them, as i speak with various people all the time about who they're favorite lenders are to use. personally i'm a huge fan of Indymac, they get 80% of my business, but typically the best lender is gonna vary from case to case scenario to scenario!

Good luck.
