So this is the start of my 3rd year in the midwest. I moved here from Seattle March 15th 2003. The first year that I was here I had no allergies whatsoever. Last year I got hammered (so I thought!!) by allergies. Eyes, nose, ears, itchyness, sneezy, coughy etc. I thought I had it bad.

This year is 10x worse.

How the heck do people live here? This is driving me nuts! I don't want to shake anyone's hands. It seems like I'm constantly wiping my nose and washing my hands.

Anyone had this happen? When you moved back did it all go away? I'm hoping that I'm not going to be pill popping every day for the rest of my life just because I made a silly decision to move to the midwest.

There are many things that can contribute to the severity of allergies. One of them is stress, believe it or not. Are you more stressed than you were this time last year? I bet you are.

Or it could just be the mid west...lol

 Move to Cali...lol

oh, I take a lot of allergy medication! It is worse this year. It never really got real cold for any lenght of time. Make you almost want to pack up and leave for the summer, because the mold spores never got killed off.

I can hardly wait for the black leaves we're going to have!

Claritin D works pretty good.

"chase" it with Nasonex. My Doctor suggested that for me. Only problem I have is I hate nose sprays or anything else in my nose! (you know I won't ever try cocaine!)

Chow, We are still waiting for you to just pack it in and move down here to Florida. BTW, may have to postpone the July meeting in Michigan. Looks like we will fly into Chicago instead of Detroit. Will keep you advised. TBE

Chicago? Is the other party we were meeting from Detroit going to Chicago? It's a shorter trip for me to go to the Windy City.

But I will need a driver-I get car sick on the 80/90 and Dan Ryan! It's throwing all that change in the toll booths while driving at 80 miles an hour- so I don't get rear ended

TBE, I could just see my allergies in Fl. I would have to chase the Clairatin with Sudafed, then to wake back up, chase that with Ma Hung. Wait a minute, in Fl Ma Hung is a controlled substance. (getting rid of the rodent patrol kitty would help wonders! But then I'd have mice! Even the cat has allergies-so I guess we stay here)
