Just registered with this site, but the first couple of threads I've looked at mention dollers, so I'm wondering if this site only covers mortgage advice in the US?

I'm looking to remortgage as I've paid off 60% of amount borrowed/ value of property and it looks liked I'm getting fleeced by my current lenders. I'm on interest only presently and would prefer a fix or capped repayment.

Any advice welcome as there seems to be large 'setup fees' on the sites I've looked at so far.

Cheers
Jon

Or any links to UK forums would be appreciated, I can't seem to find any that aren't looking to make money in some form or another

This is a US orriented site. While we've had a few consumers asking questions, we really don't have any lenders that contribute on a regular basis.

I would think if you're interest only already that you would be better off simply establishing that payment for yourself. If you refinance now, yeah they'll set up a payment for you, but the amount of principle you'll be paying to start will be quite low compared to how much you could pay in principle otherwise.
