| We've got our house on the market and had lots of interest but no firm offer yet. We have made an offer on another house but someone else has come in with an identical offer. However they say they do not need to sell their house to but the new one, although we know they have rather hurredly put thiers on the market. We are talking a £1.75m house and they are selling at £995k. Should I take a chance and say the same, I can find a 10% deposit to exchange or should I lose potentially a dream home? |

I'd be careful personally. If you don't meet that deadline, you could lose your money, and that wouldn't be very nice.
Course, things are different on the other side of that fishbowl, but I can't imagine they're that far off. |

| you should get some background on their house. a 1.75m house for 950k seems unusual. why are they willing to loose nearly half the house's worth? |
