Did ya' miss me? This semi-new underwriter thing is keeping me pretty busy. How is everybody doing? It has been suggested that I post some mortgage info of value here instead of just the occasional joke. Anybody have any ideas on what would like to be known about the wonderful world of underwriting besides why we are so difficult to deal with :?

Pussycat, are you sure the general public is ready for that?

I just got off the QC-UW boat a year ago, and I can't believe what I'm looking at. I used to be able to throw enough junk on the wall just to see if it stuck. Now I can't even find the sticky wall to throw it too!

I'm not one to give up on anything! I think some basic UW skills are good. Please further our education with the basics. Maybe we will gain a better understanding as a group and readers if UW101 is explained.

start with the 3 C's of a loan.

That is an end investor issue. "It may quack like the same duck, and walk like the same duck, but the Mallard is a different creature altogether!"

OK, I can start with the 3 c's. Give me some time to get some stuff together, I am heading into month end and all of the AE's that I underwrite for have decided that playtime is over and it is time to get busy to hit their numbers by month end. Look for something in the first of April in the appropriate column (when I figure out what that is) Thanks for the input
