what is up with people posting all of those loan sceneros that almost anyone who has been in this can do..yes some have a mild glitch..but that is why we got into this business...i think some of the newbies on the vine should be told to do some research first then maybe ask.....just my opinion

I think that it would be a great idea for them to ask their bosses for the answers. I am hearing that too many bosses do not know any answers to any questions though... makes you wonder how they became bosses in the first place. Sounds like it truly is the dumbing of the industry. Most of those scenarios are practically no-brainers.

I totally agree. I just love it when the loan scenario is a borrower with great credit, reserves, the whole nine yards, it is like some people would rather just post a scenario and let people call them. Whatever

That's what gets me. We are dealing with people's biggest assets... If it were me, I wouldn't put my trust into someone like that. I think that too many companies will let just anyone work for them. Would also explain the high turn-over in our industry!

No kidding about high turnover. There is not one bit of loyalty in most people in this industry... they are all here for a quik dollar. When it does not happen they split. I see it all the time

I just don't want our industry to be like car sales. That is the only profession I know of with a higher turnover than this. I have been in this office less than two months, and have seen half a dozen people go.

Yes, there is a lot of turnover in the industry. I think often people just move around a lot. One thing that I think is missed by many is contact management. Leads are not properly maintained as a result of the turnover rate.

I've know several people who only worked for a broker for a short time and then hit a couple of big deals, and just started doing their own thing.

Keep in mind it is not just our industry. Because we're commissioned sales people, everyone is about the cash. I would honestly be 100% fine getting a salary and just selling loans all day long. My company would make 'bank' (hahaha) off of me in the long run for a marginal increase in salary. Most people though are in it for the money, and whoever can give them the most of it.

Even in salary industries however there are plenty of people jumping ship. There is really very little reason for loyalty to a company anymore. The people who have been around often are getting paid less than the new guy, and they have less qualifications, and they certainly can't look forward to a pension.

So why stick around ya know?
