| I’ve been reading about a lot of credit scams and identity theft lately so I decided to check my credit score. As soon as I got done reading it, I saw that I had a credit card in Florida State. There is only one problem, I’ve never been to Florida! I am in the process of sending a dispute to the credit companies regarding this matter because this brings my credit score down. Many people read about credit scams on the paper or internet, but they never really take the time to check their own credit score. My advise is, check your credit history annually! It’s a shame that your credit history is very important and credit companies can’t guarantee that it is going to be 100% accurate. This is a hassel on my part because now, I have to call the credit companies and tell them about this situation. I’m just glad that I was able to catch this now than later on down the road when I’m about to purchase a big ticket item. |
