Illegals - Will you make them a loan?
If not, why not? Just hard working people trying to feed their families. |

| Simply this... if I, as a hard(snicker) working, born here citizen cannot qualify for the grant/loan/aid program, neither should they. |

| Is it pretty easy for them to get a loan legally? I mean, if they are not supposed to live here, woudn't that be an issue? How do they get around this? |

David, there are many different ways to skin many different cats. If the lender feels that they are getting themselves into an equity position, they will lend on most anything, with most any BODY. If they think that they can "repo" the house and sell it to make money....
I, of all people, have a moral issue with this. |

| Lawbreaking has it's place. Just not for illegal residents. Nothing fumes me more than people with their hands in my pockets. |

If you get a loan based on illegal documentation, then you're not legally getting a loan, eh?
I wouldn't, if I knew. In fact I asked yesterday at our wonderful training that I got to go to just what happens if someone gives me a (not-green) green card that looks good, but in reality is fake? I mean, I have very little experience in that arena. Who am i to say that this is fake? It looks like them, and hey it's got that neat little hologram, so it must be right, right?
They were fairly evasive but said as long as it looks like them blah blah I should be ok.
Anyone wanna bail me out in 5 years when this comes back on me? Heh. |

Nikko your mind and mine think with the same train tracks on this one.
I would call INS on their a$$e$, it is a shame it costs real american citizens money to deport them, makes me sick. Even if we put them in jail they have a better life.
Instead of doing things about their own community they run away from their problems and affect, I mean infect our community.
Personally I am sick and tired of paying for their life, I have enough of a time paying for my own. Now on the otherhand if someone is successful in their country there is ways for them to become legal residents of America. But most of what we get is the gutter-crawlers who come to America and our government takes care of them. Underdeveloped countries need to be developed, if the people who want a better life run to place for a better life, the ones left behind will never develope because even though they are alive, their spirit is dead. Otherwise they would strive for better, not accept the worst as life.
Nothing worth doing is easy....
If my rantings offend anyone on this matter. you pay more taxes, leave mine alone. Excuse me for wanting to live a good life, I am sorry that I was lucky to be born on US soil and they weren't. Like I said on a thread yesterday.
You can do 2 things
#1 BMC bi^ch, moan and complain
#2 Make your future, because that is you have power over, the past is gone. |

Taking this subject just a bit further down the road and playing the devil's advocate for a brief minute or so, how many of us are willing to forgo the fruits of the illegal immigrant's labors?
The cost of many services in America would rise dramatically. From our fruit and vegetables to our lawn and child care and G-d knows how many other walks of life their existence affects our economy.
Keep in mind that I have no love for the illegal but I have no hate either. I cannot blame a man for trying to improve his own station in life and to provide a better quality of life for his family. That's a given.
Would I much rather see them become legal citizens of the USA? Of course. There is no doubt about that.
We don't deny them food. We don't deny their children an education. Our stores don't deny their purchases. So why is their home ownership in the USA so vastly different? |
