A funny thing happened to me today.
I've been in the business now for 27 months (as of the 12th!!) and something I did when I first started was go to some of the top realtors in town and offer them binders with business boosters off of a website that I used for knowledge and ideas. They were well presented, and a few of the realtors even entertained looking at them. That's about as far as it went however, as shortly after I actually changed companies, then changed again shortly after that (to where I am now.)
Well, a full 2 years later, low and behold I have a fax on my desk with the front cover of one of those binders. It came from the #1 producing realtor in this city, and they faxed it over to let me know they got it. I don't know how they got it, but what I do know is that my name is in front of the top realtor in town and I've got a great reason to talk to them.
Funny how life is, huh? You just never know how what you do today will affect you in the future. I happened to be with about the worst company in the city at that point, so now I have the chance to go in and say 'yup, I got out of that mud-hole and look where I am now!!'
