| Too funny Haplo! LaurenK, try searching on MSN. They post articles like that all the time. I believe that once a year, the Government releases that info; i.e.- higest property values, highest cost of living, highest crime rate, etc. |

Since I generate leads nationwide here's what I've found so far as the most expensive places:
EASTCOAST STATES
Fairfield County, CT (Greenwich, Fairfield, Redding..)
New York County, NY
WESTCOAST STATES
Arizona (Maricopa County)
Northen California (Contra Costa County, Marin County)
Southern California (Orange County, San Diego County, Ventura County, L.A. County)
RISING STATES
Fairfax County, VA (Lorton, McLean, D.C. Suburbs)
Clark County, NV (Las Vegas)
Why are the RISING STATES increasing? Because there are job opportunities in those areas. I've seen an increase of annual earnings between 75k - 80k borrowers since 2004. Also, watch out for the suburb cities outside Chicago, IL and the Lone Star State. I am starting to see a little bit of growth in these states.
Thanks for reading... |

| I can vouch for Fairfield county, CT and Westchester County, NY. Prices have only leveled off here slightly, and its still 850k-$1mm for a decent entry level SFR home, and 500k+ for a condo/townhouse. Prices are still going up (more slowly now) but are out of reach for most younger people/starting out.. But the quality of life, crime, schools and close proximity to NYC are what (IMO) keeps markets somewhat stable here. |

Hi Lauren, 46 yr resident of NJ here. No way in NJ cheap to live in. Unless you go to the Urban Renual Areas, Camden, Elizabeth, Newark etc. They are actually building up the areas nice. It is great to see the revitialzation.
I am now In Venice Florida, South of Sarasota. 3 years ago I paid $365 for a 3/2/2 - 2 miles from the Gulf of Mexico they went to $425 in a few months now $250 if you are lucky althought they are asking $375 range. |

| Westchester, NY is definitely one of the most expensive places to live. I've got a couple of very lucky friends who can afford such luxuries and the houses are gorgeous. |
