| I'm looking for a couple of website that have been mentioned and are fairly useful. Do you know of a website that gives you an estimate of your house after you enter a few details. Also, some website that can provide a geographical representation of sold house prices. |

| zillow.com was the one that was mentioned. It doesn't seem to have much in my area, but I'm sure in the more metro areas it's quite good. |

Zestimator within zillow.com is useful for those improvements that may have been done without benefit of work permits and/or just been lost in the public record file. Click on subject house on map and then go through the number encoded (hack protector) screen in “sales, taxes & comps” to get to the link to Zestimator.
Zillow also shows the location and amounts of comps on a map. Still in beta version and not good on recent (2 years old or less) construction and in some geographic regions. |

I am not sure I would say Zillow is that good, I did a search on my home, I live in a Metro area and it shows a 35K difference between my home and the home across the street from me. The thing is the are a model match.
I guess it is a good place to start if you have no idea what homes in your area going for. |

| Well, I agree with that statement. I wouldn't take it as an accurate representation, but it's a place to start. |

Or you could just call the assessor's office and ask what that address is valued at.
(Sometimes the old fashioned way works in communites that aren't listed as up to speed with these zillow type sites) |

The best one that I've seen so far is www.moveup.com
Try it! It's pretty accurate. |

Nope, I'm in a non disclosure state? Ya mean I can walk into any local govie office and look the stuff up, but I can't get it off a website?
I tell you, those pesky Real Estate people have a lock on it! |

What I would recommend is that just checking the details on the website can be confusing, because the details you will get will be based on some pre-set theoritical calculations.
