I have read your policy. I've kept it short, I've posted more than one post and am trying to contribute to other conversations, the ad is for something that is FREE and that might benefit your membership. They may need jobs.

If it is simply that you enjoy the power of nuking people then no worries I can always find a forum that is a little more new-member friendly or develop one internally.

I assume this will be nuked by noon. Happy Holidays to anyone who gets to read this before the censors.

You have a post 10 below mine. This member has only 1 post unlike my 5 and is offering a free service as well. His ad remains. I guess it is who you know.

Well you have 6 posts total, and something you said that Mr Haplo didn't feel right about, warrented his edit button.

I'm here to tell you-he is a very even hand at this ad policy area. If he nuked you, I would take it up with him.

I tend to nuke, slay and take count of the dead that I kill off- along the the way. :P

And you were the one I was having the conversation with about Hispanic Markets and GLBA issues. Sheesh.

I sent Haplo and email to get his feedback. I'm just not sure why you guys even have an Ad section.

We have an ad section specifically for members who are active in the community and have become a *part* of the community.

Simply stopping by, making a couple posts, and then posting an ad is not going to work for us. The ad section is a formality and a privelidge, not a right of the board.

My product can help many people, but if I make a post here about it it's an ad, not a 'special way of helping' the people that come here.

As far as why some get to stay and others don't, I do try to be as fair as possible with the advertisements. The bottom line is that this is a forum for the information of consumers and lenders etc. Information, not advertisement.

Ok, I understand.

It's too bad though. We do so much within your industry... we offer advice on compliance, jobs, technology; all specific to mortgage and banking.

We work with over 40 brokerages, talking with them daily, and helping them understand the newest industry trends and how to take advantage of all the tools and products that are available to brokers and loan officers.

I just feel I would have had a lot to offer you guys. Anyway, Happy Holidays! Continued luck with the forum.

Then become part of the community. Put in the time and the 'reward' as it were will be available.

Gcoutu, I think what haplo is trying to explain to you is that with time and worthwhile contributions comes respect. That respect will pay you much more in the long run than any series of ads you might run even if you ran those ads daily with free rein.

When folks respect your opinion in this industry they also will respect your product.

I speak of this from personal experience. I haven't responded to an online loan request as an AE for my company in months yet I get calls every single day from people across the nation. Brokers, AE's headhunters and even consumers.

I call it "paying it forward".

Good luck in your endeavors regardless how you go about them.

Thanks, Mac.

I appreciate the thought that went into your comment. I understand the whole concept and I appreciate quality contributions myself. I just felt like I was trying and I got blasted. I would've understood more if I was selling something.

Regardless, I will take a look at how I can make things gel with the group.

Best, GC

I find it humerous how full blown adults still go for the "WELL HE CAN, WHY CAN'T I?" line.

Hi Verdeo! Nice to see you over here too.

This thread is too humorous!

You are right. It is kind of childish to assume that.

He is a moderator... Why can't I be one lol.

it's kind of hard to argue with a guy who's been a moderator for 10 yrs....

If truth be known, he calls me on the phone and gives me a hard time some days....
