okay, I'll bite since I'm shoulder deep in a philanthropic 501c-3.

What percentage-or flat cash donation- of each loan is donated to "Make a Wish? " I ask only because my father was a wish "grantor" for several years, and he basically grew up in a burn unit. He used to help kids who thought they were ugly after being burned.

One look at him-and you kind of forgot the little patch on your face the doctor couldn't fix.

I would ammend some of the sales information, and gear it to being more of a "hello" message since you're new. It appears the morals and ethical ground work is a cornerstone of your business. As you expand, you may save your self some agony, and hire a good legal team for state license issues.

I didn't read the whole post, didn't need to. I read the parts that said "I got to thinking and said 'why not' and the part about 'chill out' and quite frankly, that's not an easy way to get on my good side :P

I do however agree with Chow. Make your post a bit more of a hello post, rather than a 'come do business with me' post and it'll stick around.

9k, not bad.

Start a goal now- for next year---- to double it. Find some people who can actually grant wishes. Don't be afraid to ask anyone to help grant a wish for a child, or someone who just needs a little lift to get them though a hard spot. If you don't ask, they will never know what you need.

I started working on the Colt's cycle raffle, we've found almost 26k in a few months. My club usually donates about 60K a year to our local emergency shelter programs for kids, and crisis intervention. We bought tickets to Sheltering Wings for a reverse raffle, and won-so we gave them back half of the money because they do some of the same work as we do.

I'm going to plug this AD of MINE more time....and give it a rest.

You're in Haplo's area and he's a fair guy. He's a puppy in my world, but he has wisdom. (I think he was born with too much of that wisdom gene -at times, but, he's fair for moderating this area.)

We all need to go sell something! :!:

I'm still putting out the fire on my rear pantaloons from some lead guy who thought I was "white on rice" over leads!!!

As hairy as chow chow's are, when some one puts a fire to your fur, you have to address that situation as soon as possible, or you end up like the gal who is really typing...

Burned some sticks up a few weeks ago, while the hubby was taking down some big walnut tree's.

I burned my eyelashes, eyebrow's and half of my hair on my head.

I have enough of all, no one noticed it-unless I pointed it out.

Hair grows,

People with business skills and ethics will be around forever.

You sound like a person with strong ethics with a good mind for business, and the humility to use it for good.

I respect that.

How about we start a thread, in a non marketing format, that poster's can tell every one what states they can lend in, and If they are a lender or originator (retail or broker) ?

Limit the information to: "I'm a lender/AE and I can help originators in the following states." and "I'm a ""this type of originator"" and I can lend in these states."

Our profile does allow people to disclose this information, however some people do not wish to disclose that, and will answer a request for help using the posted contact information, or using the Private Message button.

We do honor privacy, so the post would allow people to at least give people a idea if they are AE, Originator-and what type, and the area of business they want to disclose.

That's just a thought. Personally, my profile post would be so off the wall to a borrower or a non seasoned originator, that I fear I would make 90% of the current membership-just sit back and itch the dry spot on their head......

(How many people in the mortgage industry-have a title of "Problem Resolution Specialist?) :P

Good, the first problem I need you to solve is the 7.7 inches of blowing snow in my driveway!

We blow snow off of it, and the wind blows it back on it!
