I think they are great for people, with the right situation!
I even had my mother in law buy a home, and go on a reverse mortgage with a line of credit for escrows.
Now-we need to explain-the Reverse mortgage is really a refinance, but a mortgage banker can do a purchase loan, then turn around and do a refinance in a couple of days-therefore-it's doable if they want to sell a house, and then go into a condo, on a reverse.
(I know-I just added another layer to your "training" blurb)
Just thought I'd throw that tool out there for you mortgage banker LO's. :wink:
