Advertising Policy:

If this is your first time here, it probably woudn't be a good idea to start out by placing an ad in one of our forums. Our primary goal is to promote quality discussion about mortgage and loan related topics. If your main motivation for being here is to place a link to your website or announce your service, then please don't make a post and move along.

You may find the moderators of the Mortgage Forums are a little more open to adding a link or announcement once we have had a chance to interact with you. Therefore, you are definitely invited to not only join in the discussion, but also to make quality contributions to the mortgage forums.

Given the above conditions are met, there are two places where commercial links are permitted:
1. Ads and Event Announcements
2. Signature (see below)
In addition, please limit commercial posts to one post per 30 days.

Links to commercial sites or pages in the other sections of the Mortgage Forums, beside the Advertising forum, are strictly prohibited. Sometimes it is easy to inadvertantly break this rule (such as in dicussions about mortgage calculators or interest rate tables). Instead of actually placing a link, just be sure to include keywords so that someone who is interested in locating the information could look it up on a search engine. If you see a post that is in violation, please notify a moderator.

There is one additional way you can advertise your product or service. You are welcome to place a link in your signature. To do this, click on "profile" at the top of the page. Please limit the link to 25 characters. Please do not use graphic links. One great thing about this is the more you post, the more exposure you get.

We want everyone to have a good experience at the Mortgage Forums. If we had to remove a link, edit a post, or even delete a post, it's nothing personal! We've tried to write these rules in such way that there is nothing "gray" about the interpretation, and so that everyone is governed by the same standards. Moreover, we truly believe that these rules help to make the Mortgage Forums a quality place. We hope you agree!
